Training Programme: In Alignment with SAQA US 119567 – Conduct moderation of outcomes-based assessments
Duration: two (2) Days
Introduction:
The OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT 1993 (Act No 85 of 1993) stipulates that where more than 10 employed at any workplace, at least 1 employee should be competent in Basic First Aid procedures.
To meet this end, Flomotion delivers a SAQA aligned training programme as per Unit Standard:119567, accredited by the Department of Labour.
The Lecturer of this intervention is an active paramedic with years of field experience.
Training Methodology:
The theoretical and practical element of the training is successfully concluded in class. Candidates who are found competent on this unit standard should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of emergency scene management,
- Demonstrate and understanding of elementary anatomy physiology,
- Assess an emergency situation,
- Apply First Aid procedures to a life-threatening situation including CPR,
- Treat common injuries.
Who should attend:
All personnel identified as First Aid Attendants in the workplace as well as any person wishing to learn basic First Aid Procedures.
